What a great day for golf on Sunday 19th June, where forty, YES forty players turned up for the Upper Great Southern Mixed Foursomes.
The winners for the day, G and R Wylie from Wickepin had a decent gross score of 87, and congratulations to them. Runners up were R Harris and K Jamieson with a gross of 90 on countback from W Byrne and S Gaudin. Net winners were L George and E Valenta, from T and D Clark.
A big thankyou to the sponsors of the day, Narrogin Toyota, and PYNC invasive animal control.
Our course presented very well, with the visiting players enjoying the greens, tees and fairways. Yep, we still have a little to do to tidy up some of the rough.
Kitchen duties for the day attended by President Mort and Howie, with the ladies of the club being able to come and enjoy their golf and be looked after for a change. There were many others who chipped in in the clubhouse, captains’ room, bar and on course to make the day work as well as it did, great work all.
The best part of the whole day was the turnout and support of the clubs of the Association. Twenty pairs in attendance made this one of the best attended mixed foursomes championships of the past ten years.
Good golfing always.
