Narrogin Pumps, Solar & Spraying Par Round

Great weather for golf at Cuballing on Saturday, with 25 players turning up for a hit in the Narrogin Pumps, Solar and Spraying sponsored event. We played a Par competition and the winner was Rob Harris on a plus 2, with Wayne McLeish on square coming in as runner up. A countback saw Mike Clark at minus 1 pip Lindsay George also at minus 1 for third. It seems that the wind may have played a part in keeping the scoring in check. Many thanks to the sponsors, Narrogin Pumps for their support of the day. Sponsors are supporting us, and we will support them.

Earlier in the day Brayden McCubbing from Marangaroo held coaching clinics from 8.30am which were very well supported by 18 of our members in three groups of 6. Brayden quickly gave us all a tip or two to improve our golf. Suspiciously both Rob and Wayne were absent from the coaching sessions, hmmm.

Our course is in great nick, with tee boxes, fairways and greens all as good as they have been for quite some time, and the work put in by all of the members over the past couple of months is showing through. The groundwork in front of the clubhouse is improving accessibility, and we all look forward to the next stage of the development. The bar is being run really well, and the vibe in the clubhouse at the end of the day is great.

Next week we play a Stableford, with the Great Southern 4BBB Championship on at Wickepin the week after. Saturday 18th June is our Second Qualifying Round sponsored by Hannafords. We are conducting the Upper Great Southern Mixed Foursomes Championship on Sunday 19th of June and look forward to some good numbers representing Cuballing.
